Miscreationk

Written by Dan Christmas
Directed by John Hewer

Cast: James Burgess, Natalie Clark, Lucy Cooper, Jamie Harris and Philip Marshall

Something’s on the rampage on the island of Temboley. A huge storm is preventing any help from mainland Britain. Roly, his girlfriend Jenny, and his best friend Dean are just trying to get through the end of time without making a scene……and preferably, without the neighbours. Will they survive the night……together? And just what is the most appropriate board game to play whilst awaiting the apocalypse?

Dan Christmas’ “Miscreation” won last year’s “Scratch Night”; an event staged at the Riverhead Theatre when 7 excerpts of brand new scripts by local writers were performed in front of an audience, who then voted for their favourite piece to be developed into a full-scale production, the exciting culmination of the Playgoers’ first-ever scriptwriting workshop.

We recently interviewed Dan about the Scriptwriting Workshop and the process of moving from writing a scene to having a full script produced for the stage. You can read the interview here.
